How to Make Playrooms: A Room to Build Years of Memories

Kids won’t stay kids forever. We should all cherish the moment that they like making a mess because they want to do something they think is a good idea. The best way to keep the mess to a minimum is to have a dedicated playroom for our tiny tykes.

Instead of them drawing (more like vandalizing) on our walls, why not make the wall into a canvas? The IKEA LUSTIGT colouring paper roll can be hacked to be coming from an upper part of your wall so they can color the parts they see. If they run out of things to color then simply pull the paper down as you would a roll of tissue. Of course, there can be no coloring without the MALA coloured pencils. Add more toys to stimulate a child’s imagination like the DUKTIG play kitchen. Who konows, your child just might be the next master chef.

But of course, playtime can be tiring. Make sure to add creature comforts to the playroom by way of FLISAT chairs and tables so they could have a sit down when they need to take a break. A place where they can have snacks and maybe a juice box. Add a BLAHAJ soft toy or maybe a couple of soft pillows and stuffed toys if playtime gets too exhausting and your little ones decide they want to take a nap.

Children will only do it for so long until it becomes someone’s room someday. Enjoy it while it lasts.
